Dumas to Speak on Tranche B Lending at 20th Annual AIRA Restructuring Conference

4/30/04 - Cecily Dumas will speak on the panel topic “Who’s Lending Now? Tranche B Lenders Fill the Funding Gap” as part of the 20th Annual Restructuring Conference of the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors to be held in Grapevine, Texas on June 23-26, 2004.

In the recent credit crunch, when bank lenders were shrinking their commitments, a new breed of aggressive and creative lenders fill the funding gap for distressed and emerging companies. These Tranche B lenders are like asset-based lenders, mezzanine investors, high-yield buyers and hedge funds all rolled into one. Ms. Dumas’s remarks will focus on structuring second lien loans and intercreditor issues between the Tranche B lender and the borrower’s asset-based bank lenders.
