Friedman to Moderate CEB Panel on Revised Article 9
Ellen Friedman will moderate a California Continuing Education of the Bar panel on the impact of Revised Article 9. The panel will be presented in three Northern California locations in January 2004. For more information about the program, go to the CEB website.
'Selected Topics Under Revised Article 9': Although Revised Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code has simplified and resolved many issues relating to the perfection and enforcement of security interests in personal property, new issues have arisen that may be traps for the unwary. This program will focus on three topics that have been the subject of recent case law--perfection of security interests in deposit accounts and investment property; perfection of security interests in intellectual property; and remedies under Revised Article 9. These are the topics that present some of the most challenging issues in this changing area of the law.
